Transalta
SAP Migration.
Moving over 650,000 customers with 130 CSR's, a credit control team of 50 people, and over 20 external interfaces, the Transalta SAP data migration was a massive and complex migration project that spanned over 20 months.
Challenge
When Transalta purchased the retail businesses of NZ Power to help grow its customer base, it decided to merge all its legacy systems into a single SAP platform. The platform would incorporate CRM and billing functions and could also be used by the Canadian parent company.
Our role
Circini managed the migration of this massive 20-month project, which combined system implementation by Accenture, the implementation of a new organizational structure, and the convergence and migration of legacy system data.
Results
The complex SAP data migration project successfully converged three different legacy systems, helped implement a new organizational structure, and track and manage large volumes of data.
“We implemented a unique data viewer to access the three different legacy systems, and delivered this complex project on time with impressive accuracy of over 99%.” - Andrew Boswell, Director.
